If any of the above investments can be substantiated, individuals can secure a Hungarian residence permit valid for 10 years, extendable to include family members. This investment-based residence permit grants access to all Schengen Member States and permits 90 consecutive days of residence in Hungary and Schengen Member States without the obligation of actual residency. Furthermore, the holder of this permit enjoys a special status compared to other types of residence permits, granting additional rights, for example in the field of employment.
